PIP2 new claim formSection 3 Q3–Q14test data Terms v2026.06
Important: Please read the terms before you accept at the bottom of the page.

This is a beta test. Real Needs uses AI, which is a powerful tool and can make mistakes. Please double-check every response. DO NOT enter your real name, address, NI number, DWP references, phone number, email address, real medical history, or anyone else’s real personal information.

1. What this tool is

The Real Needs PIP2 Assistant is an AI-supported tool being tested to help produce draft wording for the PIP2 “How your disability affects you” form. This beta focuses on Section 3 activities Q3 to Q14.

It is not a legal adviser, welfare rights adviser, medical professional, or DWP service. It does not submit anything to DWP. It creates draft text from the answers entered by the tester.

Beta use only: the tool is still being tested and improved. Drafts it produces may contain errors, omissions, or wording that does not fit your situation. Always review and edit before use, and do not submit AI-generated wording to DWP without checking it yourself.

2. AI can make mistakes

The beta version may still make mistakes. It may miss evidence, phrase something poorly, or ask a question that does not fit a condition properly. Testing lets us improve the tool without asking people to share real health or benefit details.

  • Assess first to see if it applies to your case
  • The more details you add to the text boxes, the better the AI‑generated results will be.
  • Do not copy real letters, real medical history, DWP decisions, or real PIP text into the tool.
  • Check any optional feedback before sending it.
This version is still in beta testing. Any real claim should be checked by the person completing it and, where possible, by a qualified adviser.

3. Privacy and UK GDPR summary

The beta does not ask for names, accounts, payments, addresses, National Insurance numbers or contact details. However, it should not be described as truly anonymous. Ordinary web server logs may still record technical information such as IP address, browser details and access times. A strictly necessary beta-gate cookie is also used to remember that the terms were accepted. If a tester accidentally enters real health or personal information, that information may be processed as part of the beta session or feedback and should be deleted during beta review.

What we ask you to provideAnonymous test answers, anonymous conditions and optional feedback about the tool.
You should never giveNames, contact details, NI numbers, DWP references, real health details, real claim text or anything identifying a real person.
What may be storedA terms acceptance record, a random session ID, the terms/privacy version accepted, and any optional feedback you submit.
RetentionBeta acceptance and feedback records should be kept only for testing, safety review and development, then deleted after a fixed period such as 90 days unless a shorter period is chosen.

UK GDPR position: the beta is designed to avoid collecting personal data. If personal data is accidentally submitted, it will be treated as personal data, used only for beta review and safety checking, and removed where identified. If health information about a real person is accidentally submitted, it may be special category data, which is why the beta repeatedly asks testers not to enter it.

Session inputs are sent to the AI provider configured for the tool so the beta can generate questions and draft wording. The tool should only receive anonymous content during this beta.

4. Optional feedback

At the end of a test, you may choose to give feedback. This helps us see which questions worked well, which buttons did not fit, whether all anonymous conditions were handled, and whether the final PIP2 draft was accurate for the made-up profile.

Feedback is optional. Do not paste anything that contains real personal or health information.

5. No advice or guarantee

  • The tool does not guarantee a PIP award or any points.
  • The tool does not decide which descriptor applies.
  • The tool does not replace independent advice.
  • The tool may produce wording that needs editing.
  • The tester remains responsible for checking anything generated.
