Standalone tool

PIP condition activity checker.

Type a condition and see which PIP activities may be worth checking. This is for understanding possible activity links. It is not a points prediction.

Important: only include an activity if it actually affects the person. A diagnosis alone does not decide PIP points.

Check a condition

Use a medical name or everyday wording. For example: epilepsy, fibromyalgia, autism, ADHD, COPD, migraine or social phobia.

Type a condition

The checker will try to match the condition to the Real Needs condition-card data.

Activities worth checking

The tool ranks the 12 PIP activities from the condition-card data. Check the activity only if the difficulty happens to the person.

Add a condition above to see the activity checker.

How this tool should be used

It helps people spot the PIP activities they may need to think about. It does not tell anyone what DWP should award.

What it can do

✓Suggest activities that may be affected by a condition.
✓Show common functional links, such as seizures, pain, fatigue, panic or poor danger awareness.
✓Give simple questions to help someone think about real examples.

What it cannot do

!It cannot say a person will get points for a condition.
!It cannot replace a decision letter, assessment report or benefit advice.
!It cannot decide whether evidence is strong enough.
